The project
The client wishes to convert the power supply of its equipment from fuel to electrical power, and to increase the efficiency and consistency of its production.
The challenge
- Build a durable electrical installation in the hostile environment of a quarry.
- Design an effective grounding in a stone floor.
The solution
- The design of suitable supports for the passage of cables to eliminate any risk of damage.
- The extension of a medium voltage line.
- Engineering, design and construction of a pad-mounted transformer.
- Drilling a grounding well (MALT) with materials of good conductivity.
- The installation of an electrical entrance and a prefabricated control panel in a container at our plant.
The result
The client now enjoys a greener facility and a more productive automated environment. The use of an electrical energy source is more ecological, more economical and requires less maintenance than fossil fuels. The installation of a data acquisition system allows remote monitoring of production and an operator can manage all quarry operations from a control room. Following the quality of the results, the client is now thinking about a future recycling project.
